PD Plan
The education profession is a dynamic and responsive one that is constantly being improved upon by those that work within it. Changes in education, society, and educational practice require teachers to be lifelong learners to meet the challenges set before them. In addition to professional development many teachers take on in the evenings and summer months there is a benefit to children in having days set aside during the school year to assist teachers in their professional growth. To this end there are a number of days within the school calendar that are devoted to school directed professional development and teacher self-directed professional development. The following are the dates of the school directed professional development and the annual Teachers' Convention for students in Grade 1 - 6.
Kindergarten students also follow this schedule, and there are additional PD days scheduled, parents should consult the 2026-2027 kindergarten calendarfor accurate information.
